Statement on the Nob Hill Attack

Yesterday morning, a 94-year-old woman named Anh ‘Peng’ Taylor was stabbed multiple times. She is alive and receiving treatment. The suspect has been arrested.

We are horrified by this attack, our thoughts are with the victim and her family. Everyone should be and feel safe in San Francisco. While many details of this case are unknown and an investigation is still underway, we know that this is one of many recent attacks against Asian Americans, especially Asian American seniors.

Families for San Francisco stands with the AAPI community, and we are currently working on supporting evidence-based solutions to public safety issues in San Francisco. Together, we can work towards a better San Francisco.
