Working for a Better SF

We are disappointed with UESF’s decision to spread political falsehood.

The facts are: Families for San Francisco’s membership is open, and we only accept donations from individual donors. Our average donation is less than $100, and we do not accept donations from interest groups or PACs. This has been true since the organization was formed in August 2020.

Regular people formed Families for San Francisco by coming together across our differences to make the city work for everyone. We are committed to putting people over politics, results over tribalism, facts over narratives.

We believe San Francisco should be a city where everyone can thrive. We want a city government that works for every resident, good education for all children, and an excellent quality of life that is affordable. We know this is achievable, but there are roadblocks in the current political system standing in the way.

We invite our supporters and opponents to engage with us in a collective effort to make this city better. As part of this work, we welcome uninhibited, robust, and wide-open debate of the issues, even if it becomes heated and sometimes angry. But there is no place for name-calling and lies while we debate our differences.

We urge UESF to engage on facts and issues rather than retweeting troll accounts. We invite UESF to work with everyone in the city for the common good.
